Ten Commandments for a Healthy life

 


Health , as defined by the WHO , is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. On an average, the majority are reasonably  healthy at birth . The one who remain healthy later in life also are the ones who can maintain their health over long periods of time with healthy habits.
Maintaining health is an active process. Its never going to be in good shape on its own .  Suppose you own a brand new Mercedes Benz car worth a crore . I am sure you will take much time and effort   to maintain it without giving excuses. If you just keep in you garage without driving it and never cleaning it , would it remain in good condition ? Definitely no . Would you dare to put Kerosene  in it ? No.  Similarly our health, which is much more valuable than anything money can buy, needs daily cleaning , refueling & maintenance .
There are some actionable points to maintain good health .These are the  Ten Commandments for a Healthy life . Simply put ,Purity= Happiness & Health.
 
1. Pure Mind → Pure thinking , Positive relationships & Purposeful life
2. Pure Air → Plant more trees & keep indoor plants; use air purifier if needed
3. Pure Water→ RO water from  purifier with TDS of around 100-150
4. Pure Food → Whole ,nutritious , organic food preferably; avoid processed  foods
5. Pure Body→Exercise at least 20 min daily (walk, jog,swim, play games, yoga etc )
6. Pure Light→Sunlight exposure 10 min daily. Work in places with natural lighting .
7. Pure Sleep→ 7-8 hours at night, in a 100% dark room, away from cell phones,laptops
8. Pure Posture →When sitting & working; 5 min break every 1 hour to walk & stretch
9. Pure Blood → Avoid smoking/alcohol /over eating/over working (mental/physical)
10. Pure Habits →Act on the above mentioned points & develop good habits.

If you truly follow all these , you will be at ease , not dis-ease
Remember , no doctor can give these in pills ! Without these you will get more hospital bills !
